  • Voltage drop recommendations appear in informational notes and are design considerations rather than blanket mandatory ampacity requirements.
  • The commonly referenced design objective is approximately 3% on a branch circuit and 5% total feeder plus branch circuit for reasonable efficiency of operation.
  • Plans, specifications, equipment requirements, or other enforceable documents can impose stricter limits.
